Swing to the symphony of destruction: Hellsongs

With Cover albums it's usually such a thing. Often the protagonists to the song but to miss their mark, far from the original removed, however, almost never. Unlike at Hell songs that at first glance are even entirely as a cover band on the road. The three Swedes have made to the now-four publications that can demonstrate it, old rock and metal classics, to make them appear in its own special light. They undress all the pieces to their hardness, so they can be transferred in Singer / Songwriter numbers. "Lounge Metal" is then the appropriate self-description. The originals can be seen here again really only on the basis of the text. In the verses take Hellsongs all freedoms and in the choruses may indeed be the dominant melody lines used, but so are transferred to their style, that it will necessarily only at the second hearing will recognize. This is now listening to the two LPs and EPs to rate lively hour. Europe's party hit "Rock The Night" is "we're not gonna take it" to a gentle lullaby and Dee Znyders punk classics in a form of feminist liberation anthem. More threatening than the original acts at early Slayer "Seasons in the Abyss." And Iron Maiden "The Trooper" is a haunting indictment of the horrors of the Crimean War. If Harriet Ohlsson extremely economical instrumentation for the opening lines "You take my life, but I take yours too" breathes, is one, as later in "Run to the Hills" only aware of what great lyrics for this rather than force party classic songs actually. Megadeth's "Symphony of Destruction" is in turn enhanced enormously by the winking and slightly sarcastic lecture. But rather that there are fans and scoffers at work, one notices anyway in every note. The loving arrangements show the old hits from a new perspective, which in some moments, as in the said Megadeth Helloween's classics, or even make "Eagle fly free", even the originals in the shade. The end came just

album "Minor Misdemeanor" where are the new singer Siri Bergnéhr their cost, can not quite with the debut and last year appeared to end EP compete "Pieces of Heaven, a Glimpse of Hell", but with the great interpretations of "Skeletons of Society" and "Heaven can wait" are two hits on board, you absolutely the best in "Hell Songs "can count. And a better cover of "Schools out" I've actually never heard. Very well done and above all, sympathetic above.
